Who are we?:

The Young Marines is a youth education and service program for boys and girls, ages 8 through completion of high school. (no older than 20)  The Young Marines promotes the mental, moral, and physical development of its members. The program focuses on character building, leadership, and promotes a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. The Young Marines is the focal point for the U.S. Marine Corps' Youth Drug Demand Reduction efforts.
Who we are NOT:
We are not a para-military, scared straight program, rehab center, Discipline Boot Camp or a center for troubled youth.  We do not teach warfare or combat tactics.  We are not a recruitment program for the Marine Corps.  We do teach discipline but we believe that true discipline begins at home and is reinforced by strong leadership and proper supervision (which we do provide).

What does the program cost?:

Initially, the enrollment fees are $150.00 (payment options are always available and always confidential, no problem, just ask).  This is NOT the annual cost.

That $150.00 pays for ALL of the following:

Cover (hat)

Blouse (shirt)

Trousers (pants)

Webbed belt

Boot bands

YM shoulder patch

YM Unit Arch patch

YM “name tapes” (X3, 2 name and 1 “Young Marine”)

All ribbons and awards earned during the 1st year of enrollment

All rank insignia earned during the 1st year of enrollment

Young Marine basic guidebook (and any other guidebook levels reached during the first year)

Young Marine National tee shirt

1 full year of registration in the program.  ($50 value)

Constant mentoring and guidance from experienced, friendly, Nationally registered Adult Leaders
